The NBSS Livelihood mandate focuses on women involved in smallholder agriculture, small businesses, or employed as farm or non-farm labor. Through the implementation of various innovative rural livelihood initiatives, we aim to assist women in building secure and resilient livelihoods, enabling them to break free from poverty permanently. Our key approaches in rural livelihood sector initiatives include capability enhancement, asset building, collectivization, inclusive value chain development, and the engagement of men and other influential actors.

As a women’s organization in India, we actively advocate for the importance of women’s education and sustainable development within our livelihood initiatives.
